1. Megan & Zach
A classic tale of best friends turned forever friends, Megan and Zach’s love story begins in Austin, TX, where they grew up together. The couple had play dates as toddlers, and even attended the same school from Great Oaks Elementary all the way through McNeil High School. Over time, their strong foundation of friendship blossomed into an even stronger love, as they fell for one another and realized they had found their “forever friend” in each other.
Zach proposed to Megan in Central Park in New York around Christmas time (how much more romantic can you get?!), at the Gapstow Bridge. Megan initially flew up with her mom and sister to explore the city and was shocked when Zach surprised her. Unknown to Megan, Zach flew up very early that same day to New York and dragged his luggage all around Central Park just to make it in time to propose to the girl of his dreams. Megan was so excited to see him that she screamed “yes!” before Zach was even done proposing! Needless to say, it was a magical moment for the Texan pair.
2. Justina & David
Justina and David’s story began as one of pure fate. They passed each other on the train to work every morning, though neither would say hello despite the instant connection brewing between them. Luckily, they ended up at a mutual friend’s holiday party and officially introduced themselves to each other. The couple felt like they’d known each other their whole lives!
One of Justina and David’s favorite pastimes together was taking walks near the beach. One rainy and chilly Saturday, David invited Justina to go for a walk and get some fresh air. As they walked along the beach talking, David grabbed her hand suddenly and said, “Wait, I have to ask you something.” He then got down on one knee in the pouring rain and asked Justina to marry him. It was definitely one walk along the beach they will never forget!
3. Abby & Stephen
Abby and Stephen were brought together by none other than Stephen’s aunt, who at the time lived in the same apartment complex as Abby! While the first few dates were not what Abby expected, months later she realized that Stephen was “the one” at her best friend’s wedding. Seeing him fit in so seamlessly and get along with her friends and family made her feel like everything had fallen into place.
On a couples’ trip to Asheville, North Carolina, Stephen proposed to Abby on the front lawn of the romantically designed Biltmore Estates. The couples were taking photos when Stephen turned to Abby, and trembling with nervousness got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. Lucky for them, their friends were nearby snapping photos of the whole thing!
4. Marissa & Michael
Another pair of high-school sweethearts, Marissa and Michael started dating after a summer of love. Though they attended the same high school, they didn’t officially meet until the summer after Marissa’s freshman year at a carnival. After a fun-filled day of roller coasters and carnival games, the two exchanged numbers and from there on spent the rest of the summer—and now the rest of their lives—together.
On New Year’s Eve, Michael took Marissa and her family ice skating. After a few laps around the rink, Michael skated away from Marissa and over to her parents. Marissa had no idea what was going on, but little did she know what was coming next! Michael skated up to Marissa and grabbed her hand to skate with her. He mentioned that 2018 would be a great year, and Marissa agreed. Suddenly, he stopped skating and turned to her and said, “Well, there’s one more thing I want to do before 2018”, and he reached into his pocket and got down on one knee. Marissa immediately started crying as she realized what was happening; Michael popped the question, Marissa said yes, and everyone around them clapped and cheered.
5. Makenzie & Logan
Makenzie and Logan met at a high school rivalry basketball game, and officially started dating in the summer of 2013. They’ve been through thick and thin together and cannot wait to start their journey together as husband and wife.
On a weekend trip to Savannah, Georgia, Logan proposed to Makenzie. After a lovely morning spent at their favorite funky brunch spot, the couple strolled through the streets and squares and made their way to Forsyth Park. While taking pictures by the fountain, Logan turned to Makenzie and asked, “Do you know how much I love you?”. From there, he got down on one knee and asked Makenzie to marry him. The post-proposal celebration featured a fun-filled weekend with family and friends, and a surprise add-on trip to Charleston, South Carolina!
