SAY HELLO AND CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SYLVIE BRIDE & GROOM, RACHEL & NICK!
HOW THEY MET
We met through a mutual former friend at the time. She introduced us and it worked out for both of us because now we’re getting married. I met this “friend” through one of my best friends at a pole exercise studio we all went to. One of Nick’s best friend was “seeing” this girl at the time, and she forced her way to a Pokemon card tournament that Nick’s friend was competing in, I know so nerdy, but anyway… Nick already promised his friend that he would go there to support him, but had to keep this girl company while he competed. Nick asked her, “Do you have any cute single friends?” and she told him about me, and that’s how it all started.
HOW DID YOU KNOW THEY WERE THE ONE?
I’m not that kind of person who believes in love at first sight or that knew I would marry him when he dated that type of girl. We grew and learned a lot about each other over the past 6 years, which in turn our love grew stronger and stronger every day that passed, I knew I wanted to spend the next day, and the next day together.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
Nick and I love animals. We tend to do a lot of activities that involve animals. Knowing this, Nick planned the perfect engagement and asked me to marry him at an aquarium surrounded by South African penguins. This is know as the penguin proposal at that aquarium. The experience was so amazing and something I will never forget. Also, it was amazing for another reason besides having Nick ask me to be by his side for the rest of our lives, my best friend flew in from Tennessee to be there. He knew that was very important to me.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE A SYLVIE RING?
Nick and I actually chose my engagement ring out together (the options he sent me prior, where not great so I thought lets design it together). So my recently married friend at the time, introduced us to her family jewel Er at Henry’s fine jewelry store. I tried on a couple rings then it came down to two. One was a more simplistic ring and then there was the one I chose. I asked Nick which ring he liked better and he chose The Sylvie ring option because the details of the band reminded him of evlish patterns, which I was thinking the same thing! It was just stunning!
WHICH SYLVIE RING DID YOU CHOOSE?
We choose the unique halo engagement ring (S1730) because it was absolutely stunning and so unique looking compared to all the other rings I usually see. Because were nerds (I’m a huge lord of the rings fan) the details of the band reminded us of us of elvish patterns. I choose a oval diamond and wanted to give it a personal touch and asked if a sapphire could be placed in the little eye detail on the Side.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR RING?
I love everything about it! I love that it looks so unique and has so many intricate details up close. There is nothing not to love!
