HOW THEY MET
Alex and I have been together for almost 6 years. Alex and I met at Drexel University where we were both studying biomedical engineering. We transitioned from lab partners to life partners seamlessly! We currently live in the Philadelphia area where we grew up. Alex is a resident physician studying to be a dermatologist and I work as an engineering manager for a large chemical company.
HOW DID YOU KNOW THEY WERE THE ONE?
We can’t say it was one specific moment. Instead, it was something that happened “organically” (cue corny chemistry joke!). We realized we were always there for one another and couldn’t imagine spending time apart.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
While 2020 has been a difficult year, Alex put so much time into making the moment special. He proposed at a local country club and golf course. It was the height of the fall in the northeast and the foilage and scenery were spectacular. He had our favorite prosecco flew in from Italy and a photographer ready to capture the moment!
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE A SYLVIE RING?
The design of the setting was intricate but still allowed the stone to be the center of attention. Averie has delicate fingers and he knew the setting would complement her style!

The spiral setting is something that Averie really loved! The hidden halo is also something that makes it special and stands out! it is truly timeless, delicate, and beautiful!
AS THE GROOM, WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SYLVIE BRIDE?
It’s difficult to pick just one thing I love most about Averie, but I would say it’s how thoughtful and dedicated she is to those around her. From work to family, I’m continually impressed by how she always looks to help others whether it be mentoring someone at her job or babysitting our nieces and nephews. I’m one lucky guy to be able to share this life with someone who is not just stunningly beautiful but also so often thinks of others.
