If you’re looking to plan the perfect yet more casual date, then keep on reading!
Visit the farmer’s market
This date is a great springtime activity. It brings you close to nature, gives you the chance to support local businesses, and transitions the date from day to night. If you’re planning to purchase produce or spices, you’ll have the perfect reason to ask her to continue the date and cook a meal together. If your date is a foodie, then even better! Let her show you a recipe she loves – a great way to get to know her better. If you can’t take the date into nighttime, find somewhere to sit and chat at the farmer’s market and enjoy one of the vendor’s yummy dishes. Any way you spin this date, whether you are just getting to know each other or have been dating forever, it’ll be a great way to switch up the typical dinner and movie idea.
Hike your favorite trail
In pretty much any city you live in, you can find a hiking trail. This is a great way to get active and keep those new year’s resolutions in check. Working out with someone else can make it more fun & its a great way to get moving while still enjoying a date out! You can either hike your favorite trail, if you’re traveling you can check out a new trail or head to a national park, or even go walking around a park. If there isn’t a particular trail that you know about, a quick google search will help you find the perfect spot for a hike/picnic combo!
Hit up a botanical garden
This is such a good idea for a spring date! With the flowers blooming and warmer weather, this is a great way to embrace spring and enjoy a beautiful day out with that special someone. If you want to spend quality time together talking or getting to know each other more, then this is the date for you. Holding hands, learning about the different flowers, & learning about each other, we can’t think of another date that would be better for that outdoorsy couple! Find your local botanical garden in your city or if you know of some fields of flowers you can also get beautiful photos together too.
Enjoy an outdoor movie
Many cities during the warmer months will put on movies outdoors or “on the lawn” as they call it. They are displayed on an outdoor screen or on the side of a building – this is a good twist on a movie date. You can check the schedule ahead of time just like at the movies to see what is going to be playing. With these outdoor movies though they usually feature films that are not currently in the theater. If you’re in the mood for a throwback movie or they are playing one of your favorites, this is a great way to get outside and still enjoy a movie! Essentially its a Netflix date with a twist!
