THEIR STORY
We are college sweethearts who have been together for a little over three years. We moved in together upon graduation and started our individual careers. We have grown together and are so excited to begin our journey as husband and wife.
HOW THEY MET
We met through a mutual friend our sophomore year of college! A friend had introduced me to Johnny one night- I thought he was cute but was too afraid to ask for his number. The next day, I texted our friend asking for Johnny’s number and it turns out Johnny had asked for my number as well! We instantly started hanging out and began officially dating about a month later. Three years and some odd months down the road- and we have never looked back!
HOW DID YOU KNOW THEY WERE THE ONE?
About two days after we began talking to each other, my sister had a baby. I left school for the weekend to go home to see the baby and Johnny still talked to me; he was interested in my family and wanted to be a part of this exciting time. When I saw the way he loved and cared for my family I knew he was the one. Johnny never shy’s away from lending a helping hand and loves to be involved with my family- and the same goes for me! The way he cares for me is indescribable and I am so lucky to get to spend the rest of my life with my dream man.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
He proposed on vacation on Florida. He had asked me to lunch and then suggested that we take a walk by this park that had great views of the ocean and the lighthouse. As we walked into the park, he led me to a break in the palm trees where you would see the ocean and lighthouse and told me how great the past 3 years have been and how he wanted me to be his girl forever. He pulled out my beautiful Sylvie ring, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I said “yes!” With zero hesitation. He then had a surprise party planned where our families and friends had come together to celebrate with us. It was absolutely perfect.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE A SYLVIE RING?
We went to our local jewelers and I was instantly attracted to the Sylvie look; the dainty details, the classic yet sophisticated style was all I had ever wanted. Something about being designed by a woman, for a woman really resonated with me.
WHICH SYLVIE RING DID YOU CHOOSE?
I chose the Camilla Sylvie ring because I loved the halo detail with the diamond band. I also loved how the diamond did not sit too far up- making me more confident in the integrity of the design. I originally wanted something completely different, but when I tried on my Sylvie ring and took notice of the details- I fell in love and knew it was meant to be.

I love the little details and the elegant simplicity of the design. It is so simple- yet it’s hard to take your eyes off of!

Saying “yes” to life, to me, means to say yes to the little things. Yes to travel, yes to love, yes to believing in yourself. Yes to trusting your gut and yes to taking chances. Saying yes has only helped to brighten my life- and saying yes to Johnny has brought me the most joy.
AS THE GROOM, WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT EMILY?
What I love most about my Sylvie bride is her ability to bring joy and entertainment to any situation. Whether we are grocery shopping or just sitting in the living room watching Netflix she knows exactly how to make me smile and laugh. She knows how to make me happy.
