Brittany’s Fine Jewelry

“Our founder, Donnie Blanton, started his jewelry career in a local catalog showroom called Imperial House in 1976. After five years as a bench jeweler and a wealth of experience gained in other departments of the store, Donnie decided it was time to venture out on his own. In September 1981 he started Jewelry Repair Center of Gainesville, Inc., as a tradeshop offering repair services to jewelry retailers in the Gainesville and surrounding area. As a jewelry repair tradeshop we extended repair services to many of the larger retail jewelry chains that had stores in the area. Through this we had the opportunity to see samples of the merchandise they were offering. We recognized that the quality of jewelry that was being sold in these larger stores was dropping considerably. This change in the market convinced us that the time was right to pursue our dream of opening a store and Brittany’s Fine Jewelry was founded on November 14, 1985.

From the inception our goal has been to offer quality jewelry at a fair price and back these important purchases with unparalleled customer service. In addition to selling articles of jewelry, we offer the many services associated with creating and maintaining fine jewelry. Several members of our staff have been part of the Brittany’s family for over 20 years.”
