About Ken K. Thompson Jewelry
In 1935, Ken K. Thompson established his first Ken K. Thompson Jewelry business, initially focused on repairing pocket watches, for railroad conductors who passed through town. His expertise soon propelled him to fame as a skilled watchmaker. Then, his business not only expanded to Bemidji, Minnesota, but also began offering fine jewelry pieces and services.
The luxury store grew into a prominent downtown presence in Bemidji with a full-service jewelry department, skilled watch repair, and engraving that was difficult to obtain in any other place in northern Minnesota. The downtown success grew in 1980 when Ken opened a second store in the Paul Bunyan Mall.
As Northern Minnesota’s largest independent jewelry store, they feature the finest range of diamonds and jewelry north of the Twin Cities. Their services include personalized laser engraving, custom design, hand fabricating, in-house jewelry and watch repairs, and gold and diamond buying.
