TELL US YOUR STORY
Colton and I have been together for almost 2 years. I am a Vanderbilt University Medical Center trauma nurse in Nashville, Tennessee and he is the founder/owner of Enterprise Motorsports in Springfield, Missouri. We have been living a long distance from each other throughout our whole relationship. Long-distance has taught us patience, compassion, and communication- all skills we both are very blessed to have learned together! We hope to eventually move to St. Louis, Missouri after our wedding to begin our married lives.
HOW THEY MET
We met at a mutual friend’s wedding in Branson, Missouri. After many attempts for friends to try to introduce us, we coincidentally sat next to each other during their reception. My assigned seat happened to have been accidentally taken by another guest prompting Colton to look everywhere to find me a new chair. When he did, he pulled it up next to me and from there we didn’t stop talking!
HOW DID YOU KNOW THEY WERE THE ONE?
I knew Colton was the man of my dreams after our first dates. At the time, I lived in St. Louis, Missouri and he lived 3 hours in the opposite corner of the state. He called me asking if he could drive to my hometown to take me to dinner. I met him after work just to have a quick dinner which turned into a great night of talking. He continued for the next few months driving to St. Louis to take me on dates every week only to drive home the same night. I believe those dates were just hints of the endless love that he would begin to show me for the rest of our lives.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
After taking me on a surprise trip to Key West to celebrate my birthday, we drove to Naples, Florida to visit my parents before heading back to Missouri. My parents planned on taking us to dinner for a nice birthday celebration, but before we left he told me we needed to make a quick stop to pick up my birthday present. Before I knew it, we were walking along the beach at sunset.
When we arrived, he had created the most beautiful sunset picnic with a scrapbook at the center. We were looking through the scrapbook he made of our love story and when I turned the last page in bold said, “Will you marry me, Emily?” When I looked up, he was on one knee!
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE A SYLVIE RING?
Per Colton: I chose a Sylvie ring as it was the perfect fit for Emily’s personality and the woman she is. after talking with my jeweler and not finding exactly what I wanted in their store she led me to Sylvie to have it designed. The creators came up with the perfect fit within just a few days that perfectly matched my envision. that’s when I knew this was the ring I wanted for Emily.

WHICH SYLVIE RING DID YOU CHOOSE?
Mainly when I look at Emily and the ring it symbolizes our relationship so well. It’s beautiful and unique but our relationship is that same way. When I first looked at the ring after Sylvie helped me create it, I immediately knew this ring described Emily’s heart perfectly. We could not be happier!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR RING?
I found out after Colton proposed that he had drawn my ring out on paper and was determined to find a ring that was the exact match to the picture in his mind. When he didn’t find the perfect ring, he went to Sylvie for help to create the ring of our dreams. I love that my ring is one of a kind and made exactly how he imagined it!
AS THE GROOM, WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SYLVIE BRIDE?
When I first met Emily our conversations were so easy and our personalities clicked. after knowing her for a few short months, it felt like we had known each other for years. as time went on and we spent more time together laughing and living life to the fullest, I knew our future was so bright right in front of us. she’s the life of our relationship which always keeps us spontaneous and fun. As I look into Emily’s eyes, I see the beautiful, strong, confident woman that makes me want to marry her more each day!
