About Maharaja's
Maharaja’s in Panama City, Florida, named after the Sanskrit term for “great ruler” or “great king,” has been a significant presence in Bay County since November 1977. Founded by Manu Samtani, the original boutique, specializing in clothing and jewelry, was located in Bahama Plaza on Panama City Beach. The store’s history reflects its resilience, having relocated due to Hurricane Opal in 1995 to the 23rd street shopping center in Panama City, and eventually moving to its current location in Coronado Village in 1999.
Over the years, Maharaja’s has established itself as a leading jewelry store in Panama City, winning local awards including the Best Jewelry/Fine Jewelry Store in the Best of Bay 2020. The store, still owned and operated by the Samtani family, has become known for its commitment to quality and integrity in the jewelry business.
Today, Maharaja’s is managed by Mohit Samtani, the second generation of the family. The store continues to focus on providing fine jewelry, servicing existing pieces, and offering excellent services. Its mission is to maintain the high standards set by its founders and to offer stylish, elegant jewelry that reflects traditional values.
